With an estimated 60 odd people travelling, with the emphasis on odd!, the boys knew that at the very least they would have an audience at this year's Cuckoo Fleadh in Kinvara. But once again it turned out to be so much more that JUST a music festival, of course there was that element to the weekend, with the Son's holding their own against the very best in Ireland, not quite traditional, but traditionally very good. (Now that is Irish), but everyone got on very well, made new friends and promised to do it all again next year.
Some could not wait and were at a gig within six days; now that's what you call devotion.
Sean says "It's not that they like us, it's just that they have all acquired a taste for Guiness-fueled revelry, and let's face it, if consumption of the black stuff was a measure of musical talent, I'd be Charlotte Church, Lord Lucan would be my best mate and we'd ride down to the pub on Shergar"
Paul say's "The latter is an example of why Bleak House where Sean lives should be called the 'Emporium of Bullshit"

Mike say's "What?...can I get out of here and join a good Christian band, I am in danger of being corrupted!"
Gordon sang "Oh I wish I was in Kinvara" to the tune of the Cuckoo Fleadh.
First up in this year's Kinvara hall of fame has to be the magnificent Jimmy Vinegar, undoubtedly the world's hairiest man and the inspiration for Sean's best line of the weekend.." I woke up this morning and thought I was in Rwanda" as Jimmy walked to the bog like a rogue Silverback.
Second up has to be Janice who beat all opposition to win the woman's section of the Cuckoo run, while third up, and undoubtedly a winner in any other year was the Salvador Dali inspired cuckoo on a pushbike.
Other newcomers and virgins of the Fleadh deserve an honourable mention, Carl and Ged for their efforts in keeping Arthur Guiness to the manner he is accustomed, and to Terri, Sue and the beautiful Cheryl for their memorable cheerleeding.ext.
Many more came than the band could possibly give mention to, but they are very grateful for the continued and enthusiastic support, as are the Kinvara committee who welcomed the 'Curragh Son's and their ever growing entourage' in this years programme.
Jimmy silverback!
